While the pattern library is mostly page sections, we’ve built full-page layout patterns that can be used as starters when adding a new page or post in WordPress.
Core Kindling patterns
The Kindling WordPress theme ships with a curated list of
- Home Page Hero – A high-impact section at the top of the home page featuring a looping video, bold headline, supporting text, and a CTA to drive engagement.
- Visual Hero (Page Header – Hero) – A large, visually driven header section with an image or background graphic.
- Basic Hero (Page Header – Simple) – A simple, text-based header with a button.
- Content Centered (Section header) – A centered text block, often used for introductions or key messaging areas where a single idea is highlighted.
- Split Content with image (formerly 50/50) – A balanced layout with text on one side and media on the other.
- Split content – A balanced layout with multiple columns of text.
- Card – Clickable content blocks used to link out to other landing pages.
- Featured Content – A visual section used to highlight a large group of pages (technologies, industries, etc.) and provide links to these pages.
- Icon Grid – A structured layout featuring icons with headlines and short descriptions.
